Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (a joint project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life), will have a key role at the March for Life Canada on May 10 and the March for Life Rome on May 19.

“It’s such an honor to be asked to speak during the rallies at both marches,” Mrs. Morana said. “In Rome, I’ll be giving my speech in Italian!”

The march in Ottawa, Canada, is the 21st annual event organized by the Campaign Life Coalition. Abortion has been legal since 1969 in Canada and is funded by the country’s socialized health-care system.

Mrs. Morana will be joined by Angela Steenstra, National Coordinator for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in Canada, and 11 women and men who will share their testimonies of abortion regret.

At the March for Life in Rome, the crowds have continued to grow over the eight years it has taken place. In 1978, Italy legalized abortion through the first 90 days of pregnancy, or later in cases of life-endangering circumstances for the mother or child.

In her speech, Mrs. Morana will highlight the work of Rachel’s Vineyard, which is the world’s largest ministry for healing after abortion and operates under the Priests for Life umbrella. She will call on all pro-life people to take the testimonies of those who have been healed and have become “silent no more,” and spread them to others as a way of keeping people from abortion in the first place, and helping the wounded to find healing.

“Priests for Life has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the various pro-life efforts in Italy,” said Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “We have had the joy of welcoming Virginia Coda Nunziante, who heads up the March for Life in Rome, to the March for Life in DC, and we are grateful for this opportunity for Priests for Life and our many ministries to be a part of this important international pro-life event.”
