Learning to Forgive Yourself

I was 20 years old and found myself living a life of promiscuity, alcohol and partying. I didn't know who the father was since I had relations with two guys in a short period of time.

I was in the military and flew home to get the procedure done. It's been 12 years so my memory of the clinic is vague. I supposed they were okay.

I felt like a coward and full of shame. I felt guilty, and I know my heart was never the same after that day. The toughest part is learning to forgive yourself.

I've found a new life in Christ. And I pray to the Virgin Mary every day that I can find peace and forgiveness through her Son, my lord. It's taken a lot of years to learn that I can, with the help of Jesus, get through this and that is why I'm silent no more!
