When I was 28-years-old I got pregnant with my second child. My husband was coerced by a dangerous cult to oppose this child. I was forced to abort.
I screamed loudly during the abortion procedure, feeling the overwhelming loss I suffered.
I buried my hurt and pain until I viewed my step daughter’s 10-week gestation ultrasound. That was 26 years after I lost my second child.
I spent years in therapy for PTSD treatment. But that did not help the heartbreak in my soul. I attended Surrendering the Secret healing sessions. I named my baby Lilly. I know I will see her when I die. She is with God.
I know I am forgiven by our Merciful Savior. Thanks to Surrendering the Secret, I have forgiven myself. I had no voice in 1975, but now 43 years later I am loudly declaring my testimony, that life is precious and priceless. I pray for the mothers today who have no voice. They need to know that there is help for them. They too can find forgiveness and redemption. Therefore, I declare that I am silent no more.
