At age 19, I was “pinned” to a college fraternity president.  He was the first man I ever had sex with.  When I got pregnant he told me, “You aren’t going to play that unwed mother bit, are you?”  He paid for the abortion.  I don’t remember much about it except that I bled a lot afterward and that really scared me.  Afterward, our relationship fell apart and I started drinking heavily and using drugs.  Whenever I got drunk, I would cry and talk to my friends about the abortion.  On one occasion I saw my ex-boyfriend and I cried in his arms about it. 

I also became promiscuous and wound up getting pregnant again.  I went back to the same abortion clinic.  Midway through the procedure, I yelled “STOP!”  They asked me if I wanted the abortion. I said, “Yes,” even though I knew it was wrong. 

My drinking and drug use continued until I was picked up for DWI -- that was my “bottom.”  At an AA, meeting I met my husband.  We were both searching for direction and meaning in our lives.  We fell in love.  When I got pregnant again and was ready to have a third abortion, a Godly person intervened.  She met with both of us.  We accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. 

I gave birth to the child and we placed him for adoption.  God had the perfect family waiting for him.  In His Great Mercy and Love, the Lord has forgiven me for what I have done, and has given us three beautiful children and three grandchildren.
