My Healing Journey

I had an abortion because my first child was living with my mom, I was in a relationship that I wanted to end, and I had used LSD just after conception of the baby, and I did not want the baby to pay for my mistakes. My doctor tried to talk me out of the abortion, but my heart was so hard. I refused to look at the ultrasound when they found out how far along I was.

I had to travel to Vancouver, and I happened to have friends who came with me. We partied a lot, smoking pot and drinking beforehand. I had to have my cervix dilated, and I remember regretting it once they were put in... but being too afraid to even try to back out if the procedure.

After the abortion I became a heroin addict for nine months. I almost committed suicide, but God sent someone that I was friends with to sit down below me. That was the first time I heard God's audible voice asking to see why she was there. Jesus delivered me of my heroin addiction.

At the 1st anniversary of the abortion the Holy Spirit ministered such healing to me by having me listen to the testimony of a woman who had worked in an abortion clinic who said if you had had an abortion to repent of the sin of murder... so I did. Whenever I have needed help in my healing journey, God has provided what I have needed. He has used this to shape my prayer life, as well as the prayer life of my youngest son, who is five.

It is my son who has been used to bring new levels of healing, through his natural attraction to various pro-life ministries. Together we pray for all aspects of abortion and its need to end. He knows that I had an abortion. It has been hard to know that he has had to forgive me for this as well. He needed to know because God has had me share my testimony in front of him so many times. He is a gift and he has been a major reason as to why I am silent no more. He won't let me be and neither will God.
