When I was 19 I had an abortion because I thought that it would be a quick 'fix' and that I wasn't financially ready to bear a child. However I couldn't have been more wrong...
The abortion pill was the method I chose, and the effects of it were probably one of the worst pains I had felt in my life. It's like the worst cramps you've ever hard magnified by a million. I was in so much pain, even the pain medication they told me to take do nothing. I became physically sick. I had to vomit every hour. I was in the bathroom all day. I lost so much weight, I still can't gain it back.
Immediately after the abortion I felt sadness and loneliness. I was scared to sleep alone. I just couldn't stop crying. The second I did it, I wished I never had.
As time went on after the abortion, I felt and experienced overwhelming depression. I lost sense of what I wanted to do in life; I just lost the desire for life. I couldn't see a baby without crying or stop wondering what my baby would've looked like or been like. I stopped caring about the way I looked, whether or not I did my hair; I lost my sense of femininity.
I found help and forgiveness through God. I went through the 'Forgiven and Set Free' post-abortion Bible study course. It completely changed my life...I thought I was crazy, but I learned all the stuff I was going through was after the abortion.
