I was the father not the mother here. I felt that I had no rights.  She was dead set on committing murder.  I offered to do the right thing and that didn’t include paying for an abortion.  She is now married with two kids and I never got another chance to be a father.  It is the greatest regret in my life.  I feel she cheated me out of a chance to be a dad and I know I would’ve been a great one. 

She had an abortion because at the time, I was in the military and her parents felt that I was never going to amount to anything.  It ended up being my inspiration to get my MBA and become an Instructor in one of the highest paid Police Departments in the USA.  I have a new car and live in a great house.  I am a very generous and kind uncle to all of my nieces and nephews.  I went through a period of feeling lost and went to counseling for many years.  I never really left the church, but my renewal and feeling of forgiveness came through the church.  I also helped influence one of my nephews and his girlfriend to have a baby by sharing my story with them.  They now have a three year old little boy who is the apple of my family's eye.  As you know, you only really get forgiveness through God and then by forgiving yourself.  This is a very difficult process to say the least and I don’t wish this pain on anyone.
