Tina's 2026 March for Life Testimony
Tina
New York, United States

My name is Tina. I had 5 abortions; 1 saline, 4 surgical. This left me broken-hearted from lost motherhood. Logically, the decision for abortion at the time seemed to make sense since I would have been a single mom, no job, no support from fathers, interruption of college plans, and living in unstable housing without support. Children and motherhood appeared as an interruption of my life goals for success at that time.

The trauma of saline abortion at 18-years old left me silenced and gagged and feeling unsafe in relationships for years. Later in life when I became pregnant again, life was more stable, still my unintended pregnancy seemed accompanied with excuses riddled by my lack of ability to be a good mom ultimately leading to multiple abortions.

The circumstances seemed stacked against me but the truth was NOONE gave me informed consent, truth about fetal development or a hopeful plan for adoption. Instead, the choice was life or death. I chose death. I became suicidal, homicidal, hateful, depressed, unhealthy desperate relationship with friends and family. Isolation and obesity were my friends trapping negative thoughts filled with fear. This was no way to live. This was a change from who I was.

Desperate, I went to CPC locally and met a women named Nancy who helped me see God's redemption. My healing journey was made possible through a community of loving, kind, nonjudgmental people who knew God had a plan for my life to LIVE AGAIN. While doing bible study, my heart began to hope again. God wanted me to forgive myself for abortion my 3 boys and 3 girls named Joshua, Roman, James, Rachel, Grace and Delyah, who are in Heaven with Jesus. I now serve at that CPC telling others the truth of their babies in the womb with kindness. I also serve on a ministry called DSCNY who holds healing retreats for those who are grieving the loss of their abortive children. I am a functioning member of my community who helps others in various ways. Genesis 50:20 in the bible - Joseph tells his brother's "You intended to harm me but God intended it for good to accomplish the saving of many lives. God has healed my broken heart, redeemed my life, my soul, my family, my peace, dignity and gave me life in HIM so I am no longer silent no more!!!
