Text of Prayers for Healing After Abortion

Lord of all Life,
You have entrusted us to the care of one another,
And called us to be one Body in Christ.

You call us to rejoice with those who rejoice,
And to weep with those who weep.

Lord, you have compared the love you have for us
To the love a mother has for her own child.

Hear our prayer today
For all mothers who have lost children to abortion.
Help us to understand
The pain that is in their hearts,
And to be a living sign to them
Of your welcome, your mercy, and your healing.

Help them to undergo with courage
The process of grief and the journey of healing.
Never allow them to feel alone;
Always refresh them with the presence of Your Spirit
And of their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Console them with the sure hope
That you love and care for their children.
Give them new strength,
That even while they grieve what they have lost,
They may look forward to all the good
That you still have in store for them.

Lord of healing and hope,
Give us all the forgiveness of our sins,
And the joy of your salvation.

We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord God of Peace,
I thank you for your love for me,
Which is more tender than the love
Of a mother for her child.

I thank you for your forgiveness,
Which is more generous
Than the forgiveness human beings can offer.

Thank you for helping me to know
That I am not my abortion.
Rather, I am your daughter, Beloved and Redeemed,
For whom your Son would have died
If I were the only one who needed salvation.

Save me always
From the menacing voice of useless guilt and the oppressive force of shame.

Rather, lift me up in the light, peace, and grace
Of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ,
Who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord God, we thank you, the Source of Life, for all those who have welcomed and nurtured our lives.
In particular, we thank you for our mothers, who with trust in you and self-sacrifice beyond description, have made it possible for us to live and praise you today.
Give them the reward of their labors.

Today, Lord, we also pray for mothers who are afraid of being mothers.
We pray especially for those carrying a child within them, but afraid to bring that child to birth.

Look with favor on these, your daughters, and give them trust and strength.
Enable them to give themselves to their children, as you give yourself to us, and to experience the joys of motherhood.

Enable us to do our part to encourage them and provide for their needs.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord of all Life,
You have entrusted us to the care of one another,
And called us to be one Body in Christ.

You call us to rejoice with those who rejoice,
And to weep with those who weep.

Lord, you have revealed yourself as the Father of all,
And you are the source of all fatherhood.

Hear our prayer today
For all fathers who have lost children to abortion.
Help us to understand
The pain that is in their hearts,
Whether they consented to the abortion,
Or perhaps tried to stop it but could not.

May we be a living sign to them
Of your welcome, your mercy, and your healing.

Help them to undergo with courage
The process of grief and the journey of healing.
Never allow them to feel alone;
Always refresh them with the presence of Your Spirit
And of their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Renew within them the strength of fatherhood,
And the knowledge that they can still be protectors, providers,
And life-givers for their families.

Lord God,
You are the Father of all,
And the source and pattern of all fatherhood.

You are our Provider, our Protector, our Encourager,
And you enable us to do the same for others.
I thank you for your mercy and healing, Of which I stand in need
As I grieve my own lost fatherhood.
I turn to you, the Eternal Father, And ask to be renewed
And to start again.

And I ask you to receive
Into Your endless Life and Love, the child you once entrusted to me.
Give me new hope and new strength.
Always remind me
That you have more blessings for me in the future
Than there is pain in the past,
And that for everyone whom I may have failed to serve before,
You have many that you call me to serve

From today forward.
Lead me, Lord, in new hope and new strength.

I pray with confidence in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Eternal Father,
You lead your Church to yourself through Jesus Christ your Son.
He is the Good Shepherd,
Who knows his sheep, binds up their wounds, and gives his life for the flock.

We pray today for your Church
And for all who have been given a share
In the ministry of Christ, the Good Shepherd.

Heal the wounds of all who believe in you.
Enable us each day to rise from our sins
And to experience the new hope of reconciliation.

Grant that all who have been wounded by abortion
May find forgiveness and peace
In the community of the Church.

Grant to the pastors of your Church
The grace to repent of any way that they have failed
To lead the flock with the truth of the Gospel
And to bear witness to the Culture of Life.

Father, make your Church, which is the Bride of Christ,
All that she is called to be.
Let her light shine to all the nations
With a brightness that overcomes every shadow of death
And leads all your people to the fullness of life
In this world and in the world to come.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father, you have entrusted to your Church
The ministry of reconciliation,
Through the power of the Blood of Christ.

He is the Author of Life,
The Conqueror of sin and death,
The Divine Physician who heals every wound.

May your Church stand as a witness in every land
To the saving power of your truth
And to the healing power of your love.

Grant, O Lord, that as disciples of Christ gather In communities around the world,
They may receive a deeper awareness
Of how abortion has wounded them
And a deeper experience Of how you can heal them.

Let the power of your Word
And the workings of your grace
Lead to the healing of all their relationships.

May all your sons and daughters,
As the People of Life,
Extend to the whole world
The urgent invitation to salvation and healing.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

 by Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord, I thank you for my faith,
And for my vocation as a minister of Your Gospel.

You have called me and you command me
Not to be afraid.
"Behold, I have put my words in your mouth," you told Jeremiah.
"You must say whatever I command you," was your instruction.

Lord, I too am ready to respond anew to your call.
Banish all fear and doubt from my heart.
Enable me to preach your Gospel,
Which is the Gospel of Life,
Without any compromise or hesitation.

Make me a voice for the child in the womb.
Enable me to proclaim that you alone are Lord of life and death,
And that what we do to the least of our brothers and sisters,
We do to you.

Make me a vessel of reconciliation.
Enable me to reach all who are hurting after an abortion
And to let them know that we know their pain
And long to bring them to your peace.

Forgive me, Lord, for any times I have failed
To speak the fullness of your message of life and mercy.
Lord, make me a Good Shepherd after your own heart.
I pray in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of Life and Source of Wisdom,
You care for your sons and daughters
Throughout the generations.

You forgive the sins
And guide the paths
Of all your people.

You give parents the special calling
To give life to their children
And to bring them up in the ways of your Law.

We ask you today to hold close to yourself
All those who have a son or daughter
Who has been involved in an abortion.

Give repentance and forgiveness to those
Who in any way consented to the taking of the life
Of their grandchild.

Give comfort to those who tried to save the life
Of their grandchild
And to those who lost a grandchild Without knowing it.

Give to all grandparents the joy of life,
The Wisdom that comes with the passing of the years,
And the gratitude and trust
That marks your children.

And bring us all to the joys of life eternal.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord of All,
Your Providence guides the paths of history
And of our own lives.

You know our past and our future
And you call us to trust in you
More and more each day.

Lord, I come to you today
Both with sadness and with hope.

You entrusted to my family
The gift of my grandchild.
I ask your forgiveness
For not having protected that new life.

Lord, I trust in you.
You are the God of mercy,
The Lord of new beginnings.

I turn to you in repentance,
And with great confidence in your forgiveness.

Keep my grandchild -- and me -- safe in your hands
Until the day we are reunited
And all death is conquered forever
By the power of your love and life.

Bless my entire family
And bring us your salvation.

I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of mercies,
You conquer every sin
Through the blood of Jesus Christ,
Who has robbed death of its power
And brought us light and life through his Gospel.

We pray today for so many men and women
Who have suggested or pressured their son or daughter
To abort a child.

We pray, too, for those who consented
To the abortion of a grandchild
Without offering help or encouragement
To choose life.

Today we ask that you give them repentance, forgiveness,
Healing and peace.

Enlighten those who do not yet see
The wrong they have done.
Guide them in your paths.

And to those who have repented,
Give the assurance of your forgiveness,
A peaceful relationship with their children,
And renewed hope of being reunited one day
With their grandchildren.

May these grandparents
Be models to their own sons and daughters
Of how to trust in your mercy
And how to walk in your healing.

Bless us all with the gift of salvation.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord of All,
Your Providence guides the paths of history
And of our own lives.
You know our past and our future
And you call us to trust in you
More and more each day.

Lord, I come to you today
Both with sadness and with hope.

You entrusted to my family
The gift of my grandchild.
When that child was in danger,
I did what I could to save (his)(her) life.

Lord, I trust in you.
You love my grandchild
Even more than I do,
And even death
Cannot stop your loving care.

Keep my grandchild -- and me -- safe in your hands
Until the day we are reunited
And all death is conquered forever
By the power of your love and life.

Bless my entire family
And bring us your salvation.

I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord of time and eternity,
You guide the course of human events
With the loving hand
Of your Providence.

Lord, as we live our lives each day,
There is so much we do not know.
And yet you know every detail of our lives,
And you never cease to love us
And to call us to trust in you.

Lord, I pray today for my peace
And for your blessing on my family.
I pray for my child(ren) and my grandchild(ren).

Lord, heal the pain that is in my heart
Because of the abortion that occurred.
Grant that I may trust you more each day
As I entrust my grandchild(ren) to you.

Bring my entire family
The mercy and peace
That your Son died and rose to bring to us.

And amidst our own pain and healing,
May we reach out to others
Who need our help and reassurance.

Thank you for the gift of life
And the blessing of salvation.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord, Author of Life,
I come before you with thanks and praise.

You made all things out of nothing,
And created us without our asking or earning it.

You guide and protect all you have created
And your love knows no measure.

You brought order out of the ancient chaos
And calmed the stormy seas.

Day by day, you calm the storms of our lives
And bring to our hearts the peace
That passes all understanding.

Lord, I praise you today
For my own being.
You love and welcome me,
Without reservation, without conditions,
And without end.

You also love my parents and my sibling(s).

In life and death, we belong to you,
And you ask us to entrust ourselves to you.

Lord, fill me with your love and your peace.
Heal me of the wounds that abortion has inflicted
Upon me and my family.

Receive my sibling(s) into your eternal care,
And let me experience that same care day by day,
As I make my journey toward you
And fulfill the vocation you have given me in this life.

Give me your joy,
Give me the vigor of life,
And enable me to be a life-giver to others.

I pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of life,
How marvelous is your care for us.
You have made us little less than the angels,
And have given us the call to eternal life.

We cry out to you as a wounded people,
Daily carrying the scars
That abortion has unleashed upon us.

We pray in particular for those who have lost siblings to abortion.

We ask you today
To ease any anxiety or sense of guilt they may have.
Lift their minds and hearts to you
And let them know that
You welcome and protect them
With infinite and unconditional love.

Give them the freedom to talk about their loss
And to grieve it with confidence in your healing power.

Strengthen their love for their parents
And unite their families in service to your Kingdom.

Show these sons and daughters of yours
That your love is stronger than death.
Reveal to them your plan for their lives
And strengthen them to live their calling
With faith, eagerness, and perseverance.

May we be witnesses to them
Of the care and welcome you provide for all your people.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of mercy and peace,
Come to me today.

You are close to us in every difficulty.
You heal our past,
And you walk before us in our future.

Forgive all my sins,
Of which I repent again today
With confidence in your unfailing love.

Bless my child(ren)
Who have lost (a) sibling(s) to abortion.
Teach us how to talk about this loss with each other
With the honesty that comes from your Spirit.

Teach us how to grieve this loss together
And how to encourage each other
To trust in your love,
Which is stronger than death.

Teach us that
While nobody can replace those we have lost,
Your presence among us
Always draws us closer to you and to one another,
And gives us the power to live
With all the peace and joy that mark your Kingdom.

As we thank you for the life you give our family,
And mourn those who are missing from it,
Make us witnesses of hope to one another
And to the world,
And enable us to look forward to that day
When we will all be reunited
And when there will be no more death,
No more sorrow,
No more crying out or pain.

Lord, make all things new!

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord God,

You have revealed yourself as the Father of all peoples,
And have taught us that we are all of one family,
United by an equal human dignity.
We come before you today
Deeply aware of the wounds that have been inflicted
On our brothers and sisters in the Black community.

We pray for healing of the long historical mistreatment
That this community has endured, A
nd we pray for protection today
From the efforts of the abortion industry
To continue that mistreatment.

Lord, enable your people to rise up
And resist the efforts of those who would promise advancement
At the cost of the lives of our children.

Strengthen our families,
Deepen our resolve to say Yes to life,
And heal the wounds abortion has brought to our families.

Grant that the Black Community, and all communities,
May enjoy the freedom that comes
When every human life is respected and protected.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord Jesus,
You told your apostles
That you no longer called them servants,
But rather your friends,
Because you made known to them
What you heard from your Father.

Today, Lord Jesus, you call me your friend as well,
And I rejoice that you are close to me.

I thank you also for all the other friends I have,
And I entrust them to your care.
I thank you for the ways I have been good to them,
And I ask your forgiveness for the ways I have failed them.

In particular, Lord, I ask forgiveness for my friend’s abortion.
Forgive me for my role in that sin.
Forgive me for not trying to save that child.
Help me and my friend to grieve that child
And to entrust that child to you.

Not even you can change the past, Lord,
But you can give us peace and strength for the future.
Wash us in your blood,
Fill us with your grace,
And enable us to save other lives from abortion,
And to heal the hearts of all who suffer.

I pray with confidence, for you live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father in heaven,
You have entrusted us to the care of one another.
Our lives are in Your hands,
And you call us to do our best
To protect one another.

Receive, Lord, my pain and grief
Over my friend’s abortion.
Console her, and console me.

Accept my efforts, although they did not save that life,
And receive that child into your everlasting embrace.

Enable my friend to find the healing and forgiveness you promise
To all those who turn to You in faith.

And enable me, Lord, to be present to my friend,
To provide a sign of your presence
And a channel of your peace.

Make me alert, Lord, to the future opportunities I will have
To save lives from abortion,
And to heal those who are wounded by abortion.

I ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord, Author of Life,
I come before you with thanks and praise.

You made all things out of nothing,
And created us without our asking or earning it.

You guide and protect all you have created
And your love knows no measure.

You brought order out of the ancient chaos
And calmed the stormy seas.

Day by day, you calm the storms of our lives
And bring to our hearts the peace
That passes all understanding.

Lord, I praise you today
For my own being.
You love and welcome me,
Without reservation, without conditions,
And without end.

You do not make mistakes,
Nor do your actions come about by accident.
Rather, you have loved me from all eternity.
And have chosen me to live as your child.

Lord, renew within me
The joy and gratitude that life brings.

In life and death, I belong to you,
And today I entrust myself again to your care.

Bless my family, and give us your protection.
Bless my present and my future,
And give me the gift of your salvation.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of life,
How marvelous is your care for us.
You have made us little less than the angels,
And have given us the call to eternal life.

We cry out to you as a wounded people,
Daily carrying the scars
That abortion has unleashed upon us.

We pray in particular for abortion survivors.
We pray for those who were almost aborted,
For those who lost siblings to abortion,
For those who survived an abortion procedure,
And for those who are simply aware
That their lives were not protected
When they were in the womb.

We ask you today
To ease any anxiety or sense of guilt they may have.
Lift their minds and hearts to you
And let them know that
You welcome and protect them
With infinite and unconditional love.

Bless their families and bless their futures.
Strengthen their love for their parents
And unite their families in service to your Kingdom.

Show these sons and daughters of yours
That your love is stronger than death.
Reveal to them your plan for their lives
And strengthen them to live their calling
With faith, eagerness, and perseverance.

May we be witnesses to them
Of the care and welcome you provide for all your people.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord, you call all people to be saved
And to come to know the truth.

We thank you for your powerful grace,
Unleashed upon the world
By the saving death and resurrection
Of your Son, Jesus Christ.

We praise you for how that grace
Sets free our brothers and sisters
Who are in the darkness
Of the abortion industry
And brings them to repentance and healing.

We pray today for these men and women
Who once used their skills to kill children
But who now, like the Centurion at the cross of Jesus,
Have dropped their weapons and declared,
“Surely this was an innocent man!"

Lord, continue to heal
All who have left the abortion industry.
Let them know that they are not alone,
And that your mercy never fails.

Give them strength for the journey of healing.
Enable them to connect once again
With their own humanity
And with the humanity of the children
Whose lives they took.

Restore the relationships that were broken
As their lives spiraled out of control
And resentment and despair filled them
During their days and nights of child-killing.

Bring them now to a new day,
And to a new awareness of the value of every life
And of their own lives.

May we, the People of Life,
Be a sign to them of your welcoming mercy
And of your saving grace.
And may the witness of their conversion
Lead many others to leave the industry of death
And devote themselves to the service of life.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life

Father, all life comes from you,
And you call the human family
To live in communion with you
And with one another.

As you are one with your Son
And the Holy Spirit,
So you call us to live as a family,
United in self-giving love.

You entrust us to the care of one another
And call us to be especially attentive
To the weakest and most dependent
Members of our family.

You call us to welcome life
Even when it is unexpected
And to nurture and protect it
Just as you nurture and protect us all.

You call us to bear witness in the world
To the bonds of unity and peace
Which are inspired by your Spirit
And which overcome division and unforgiveness.

You call us to serve the Church
And to encourage other families
Especially those in difficulty.

Bless and protect us as a family
And let us be witnesses
In word and deed
To the Gospel of Life.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of life,
You are the origin of every family
And you are the healer
Of every wound.

We know that there is nothing
That destroys the family more than abortion.
It is the greatest destroyer
Of love and peace.

Today we pray for all families,
And in particular for those
Who experience the deep wounds of abortion,
And the division that it brings.

We pray for those whose marriages
Have been broken due to an abortion,
And for those alienated
From parents, siblings, or other relatives.

We pray for those
Who today are alone
Because abortion has taken others
Out of their lives
And out of their families.

Lord, bring hope into their despair
And bring light into their darkness.
Show them the path to healing,
And set them on the road to peace.

And even if their family
Can never be one again here on earth,
Fill them with the hope
Of all who look forward to the world to come,
Where there will be no more death,
No more crying out or pain,
And where you, Lord God of Life,
Will make all things new.

We pray in the Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

Father of all,
Out of many nations and cultures,
You form one people and guide them by the light of faith
To know and love you
And to love their families.

We pray today for all our Hispanic brothers and sisters,
For their communities and families.

Sustain in them the love they have for life
And the values they hold dear.

Keep them safe from the efforts of the abortion industry
To target, exploit, and manipulate them.

Give them wisdom and understanding
To know how to defend their faith and their children.

Heal the wounds that abortion has inflicted upon them,
Individually, as families, and as a culture.

Give them the strength to follow their vocation
As disciples of Christ and as citizens on this earth,
And to enrich our nation with their special gifts.

And bring all of us to a culture of life.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

 Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord,
You call us to defend the lives
Of our youngest brothers and sisters,
The children in the womb,
And to bring an end
To the violence of abortion.

Today we pray for strength and healing
For ourselves and all who work to end abortion.

We know, Oh Lord, that despite our faithful efforts
And our most effective strategies,
There are many children who are killed each day by abortion.

We could not reach or save them,
And we are wounded by the violent act of abortion
That took their lives.

Lord, we entrust these children to You,
And we grieve the loss of their lives,
Knowing this is a loss not only for their families,
But also for us.

Heal us of the pain of this loss.

As we feel the weight of these abortions,
Never let us be crushed by it;
As we experience sorrow because of these deaths
Never let us despair.

Bless all pro-life advocates.
Enable us to mourn in a healthy way,
Rather than to be absorbed by bitterness, anger, or discouragement.

Bless all those who counsel pregnant moms,
In pregnancy centers or on the sidewalks;
Bless all those who educate, teach, and preach,
And who elect pro-life candidates and pass pro-life laws.
Bless every facet of the pro-life movement
And every variety of pro-life work.

As all of us in this great movement do this work,
Enable us to endure misunderstanding, ridicule, and persecution,
With the patience and joy
That mark those who are filled with your Spirit.

Lord, as we work to change the world,
Let us also be changed by You.

And as we defend life,
May we find life eternal.

And as we rejoice
In the lives that are saved,
Continue to increase in us the hope
That comes from you
And that points us to the day
When all death and violence
Will be conquered by justice, love, and peace.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Fr. Frank Pavone

God of Life,
We rejoice in the promise of your coming.
You have sent your Son, born in Bethlehem.
He is the Prince of Peace,
And the one in whose name all oppression shall cease.
He is the one who brings healing in his wings
And in whom God and sinners are reconciled.
Father, we are aware of the devastation abortion has brought
To those who undergo it,
To those who participate in it,
To those who lost a love one because of it,
And to those who try to prevent it.
We know we need the Savior to come.
We need him to make us right again with you;
We need him to heal our broken relationships with one another;
We need him to replace despair with hope
We need him to make all things new.
May we welcome his coming each day
And prepare for his coming at the end of time.
May we build a culture that welcomes him
By welcoming every child, born and unborn.

We pray through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Fr. Frank Pavone

by Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord of all Life,
You have entrusted us to the care of one another,
And called us to be one Body in Christ.

You call us to rejoice with those who rejoice,
And to weep with those who weep.

Hear our prayer today
For our brothers and sisters who have lost children to abortion.
Help us to understand
The pain that is in their hearts,
And to be a living sign to them
Of your welcome, your mercy, and your healing.

Help them to undergo with courage
The process of grief and the journey of healing.
Never allow them to feel alone;

Amen.

By Fr. Frank Pavone

God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come into your presence in His name.

We have heard the voice of your Son,
And therefore we can make our voices heard.

We have been justified in the blood of your Son,
And therefore we can oppose every form of injustice.

We have repented of our sins,
And therefore we can lead the sinner to repentance.

We have done battle with the power of evil,
And therefore we can have compassion on those still within its grip.

We have been freed from the kingdom of darkness,
And therefore we can bear witness to your Kingdom of Light.

Lord, as we come before you today, we repent, we resolve, and we rejoice.

We repent of every instance in which fear has made us silent when we should have spoken.
We repent of the ongoing bloodshed in our land,
And for ever daring to think that we can deprive the unborn of protection but keep it for ourselves.

We resolve that we will work more generously to advance your Kingdom.
We resolve that we will advance the cause of righteous candidates for public office,
And that we will be more afraid of offending you by our silence
Than of offending the IRS by our speech.

We resolve that we will declare boldly to our people that no public official who fails to respect the life of a little baby
can be trusted to respect our lives.

Father, today we rejoice, because we are not simply working for victory - we are working from victory.
The victory of life, truth, and grace has been won by your Son's death and Resurrection.
Today we hear his voice again.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I hold the keys of death and of hell.
Behold, I make all things new."

Father, we rejoice that we have been made new,
And as we work to renew our culture
We look forward to the great day of his coming,
When every eye will see him, even of those who pierced him,
And every knee shall bend, and every tongue confess, to the glory of God the Father,
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!

In his Blessed Name we pray. Amen!

More Prayers

by Fr. Frank Pavone

Lord God of Peace,
Thank you for forgiving and healing me.

Once again I entrust myself and my child(ren) to You.
Your mercy is infinitely greater than my sins,
And your healing greater than my pain.

Lord, You speak to your people
Through the word of testimony.
Your Son Jesus Christ is the Eternal Testimony of you, our Father.
The apostles gave testimony to his Resurrection.
Believers through the ages have testified to the power of your grace.
And we your people continue that testimony today.
Lord, as I share with others
My experience of despair and pain, of healing and redemption,
May those who hear me be blessed.

I pray that those tempted to abortion may find the strength to say No,
And that those who think abortion helps may see that it does not.
May others who have lost children to abortion find new hope
And through my testimony, may they draw closer to you,
The source of their healing.
May all who fight against abortion
Find new strength to continue that important mission.
May all who are in despair because of any sin,
Know that they too can repent and be healed.

And may I, your child and your servant,
Grow closer to you,
As I proclaim through my testimony
That we have a Savior,
In whom is all our hope, our joy and our life,
In whom is the victory over death and the hope of Resurrection,
And that his name is Jesus!

AMEN.

Lord God of Life and Healing,
You have proclaimed your Word to all the World
In your Son Jesus Christ.
He is the Gospel, the living Testimony to your Love and Mercy.

With him, you have also poured out your Spirit on your people,
Calling and equipping them to be
Living witnesses of your unchanging love.

Today, we gather to continue that witness.
We thank you for the courageous men and women
All over the world
Who have come to you for healing after abortion
And who now share their testimony with your people.

We thank you for those who have joined us today for this gathering.

May the words they share with us today
Inspire and strengthen us with new hope
To turn to you, Lord, for the healing and forgiveness
That we all need every day.

May their testimony be a clear sign to everyone
That Your response to those who have had abortions
Is not punishment but peace,
not rejection, but reconciliation.

Thank you for the courage of those who share testimony today.
May we meet their courage with our courage
As we echo and share their testimonies with others.

May the voices of those who are Silent No More
Continue to grow throughout the world,
Until all the pain of your people is absorbed by healing,
All their despair absorbed by hope,
And all the power of death absorbed by the everlasting victory of Life!

We ask this in the Name of Jesus, the Lord. AMEN.

Lord God, Father in heaven,
You are my Creator and Protector,
And you are the Creator and Protector
Of the child within my womb.

That child, your son or daughter, belongs to you,
Not just to me,
And I thank you for entrusting this new life to my care.

Lord, please calm my fears,
Dispel my doubts,
And strengthen my resolve
To do what is right.

Remind me each moment that you are already in my future,
And that the circumstances
That make it seem so difficult right now
Are things that can change as time goes on.

Lord, I ask your forgiveness for considering abortion.
It is not what I want to do
And I know that if I were to do it,
I could never bring my child back,
No matter how much I may want to.

Remind me, Lord, that I am not alone;
That I can reach out to you for grace and strength
And that I can reach out to many people who are there
To help me and my baby.

Bless all the people in my life.
Help them to understand and to trust
That accepting this child is the right thing to do
And that they need to respect my right to choose life.

Lord, I love you, and I love my child.
You have thought of this child from all eternity.
You have a plan for my baby,
And a plan for me.

Lord, from this day forward,
I will be faithful in carrying out that plan,
And look forward to the joy and peace
Of doing your will here on earth.
And enjoying life forever with you, and my child, in heaven.

I ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Lord, you alone are the Creator and owner
of every human life,
No matter how small or young.

You give us our humanity
From the first moment of conception,
And your own hand Guides our development at every moment
In our mother’s womb.

Indeed, we are fearfully, wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works, O Lord!

You have entrusted each new life
To the care of his or her parents,
You also entrust to doctors and their teams
The privilege of caring
For the life and health of each person.

Lord, I come to you today
Deeply aware of the value of life
And of the ways I have denied it.

I repent of having lied to myself
About the unborn child,
About his or her mother,
About the violence of abortion,
And about my own actions.

Lord, I need your light
And I seek your healing.

I embrace the humanity of each child
In whose death I participated,
And I entrust those children to you.

I pray for the mothers who were harmed
By the abortions in which I took part.
Give them forgiveness, healing, and peace.

Lord, you have great plans for me,
For my prosperity,
For my calling within your plan.

Enable me to see and follow your will
And to serve your people.

May I always proclaim you
As the Lord of Life and Hope,
Of true freedom and salvation.
I pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
