Campaņa No Mas Silencio
What is the Silent No More Awareness Campaign?
Silent No More Awareness is a Campaign whereby Christians

Why do we need a Silent No More Awareness Campaign?
Many women and men are realizing the abortions they were
involved in years ago are the source of the physical and
emotional problems they have today. The Campaign gives them
a forum to help others by sharing the painful consequences
of abortion.
Women talk about feeling guilt, anger, shame and
worthlessness; and how they struggled with suicidal
thoughts, drug/alcohol addiction to numb the pain, eating
disorders or depression. Men share how the abortion of their
children caused them to feel pain, guilt, and anger. They
also share their experience in finding peace and healing.
These voices of experience need to be heard so others can
learn about the help that is available. They also want
people who think abortion is a good solution for someone
facing an unplanned pregnancy to understand the real
long-term consequences their friend or loved one is likely
to face in the future.
Is the Silent No More Awareness Campaign trying to end abortion?
We believe that abortion should be unnecessary and
unthinkable. While abortion must be addressed on many fronts
- including the legal, political, and ethical arenas - the
Silent No More Awareness Campaign addresses abortion by
personal testimony that touches hearts. Evidence of the
damage abortion does to women, men and others will help
persuade society that women in an unexpected pregnancy
deserve better help than abortion.

How did the Silent No More Awareness Campaign
begin?
Through their work in abortion recovery and personal abortion
experience, the co-founders saw the ongoing need to let the public hear from the many women who regret their abortion and do not believe abortion is a good thing for women.
They wanted to show that NOW and NARAL do not represent all women on this issue.
The campaign has grown primarily through a network of pregnancy resource centers, abortion recovery support organizations, and pro-life groups.
Why does the Campaign use the butterfly logo?
The Silent No More Awareness butterfly logo expresses the transformation of a woman when she has experienced help and healing after abortion. The transformation of a caterpillar in a cocoon into a beautiful butterfly captures the change that happens to women when they experience God's love and forgiveness.
Who organized the Silent No More Awareness Campaign?
Georgette Forney, President of
Anglicans for Life (A
Life-Affirming Ministry in the Worldwide Anglican Communion) and
Janet Morana, Associate Director of Priests for Life are the Co-Founders of this Campaign.
The Campaign is a non-denominational Christian effort and it has no political or legal agenda. (Participation in SNMAC, of course, is perfectly compatible with participation in the political or legal efforts of other organizations.)
