People ask how I can possibly speak to children (and next week to my parish through a faith-sharing group) about my experience.

Can a marriage survive abortion?

When we launched Cradle My Heart Radio in 2012, a large part of our mission and vision was to create a safe space to share our stories. Now helping us fulfill that mission is our partnership with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. The Campaign helps women and men prepare to speak out in safety for the benefit of others.

This week we’ll talk about the impact of abortion on the marriage relationship. The statistics say most marriages will not survive abortion, as I reported here. But this week, we’ll meet a couple who beat the odds as we welcome Chuck and Linda Raymond. Linda is Silent No More Campaign Regional Coordinator for Missouri. Hers is a story of how abortion impacts relationships, especially with her husband, Chuck, and their parents. The message is deeply touching and greatly encouraging to those who feel isolated and defeated by the abortion experience of the past.

Linda’s involvement in prolife work includes volunteering for the Coalition for Life/ St Louis, co-directing her parish’s Respect Life Committee, participating in the March for Life in DC, the Midwest March for Life and the Walk for Life, San Francisco. She has spoken at numerous events over the years to include MO Right to Life banquet, 40 Days for Life and the Commemorate and Commit banquet held by the St Louis Archdiocese.
