I took you to a place of terror and abuse,
your life ended by pain, bloodshed and horror
Choking off my heart, I let you die,

you were gone, to Jesus arms I knew,
His arms around you quieted your hurt and hurt, but
I didn't want to hear you cry.
 
I keep one thought of happiness and that is your joy.
Your walking, laughing, and with the Savior,
which was your birthright here,
I will see you when my life is ended and,
I didn't want to hear you cry.

Years have come and gone, your presence now much wanted.
You were special, innocent and love,
a miracle known and knitted by God,
Your precious, loving beautiful faces now,
Pictured in my heart I see,
and I wish I had heard your cries.
