2011 March for Life in Washington DC

The Priests for Life team, in Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life, hit the ground running right after arriving Saturday morning.

Priests for Life has a heavily trafficked booth in the March for Life exhibit hall in the Hyatt Hotel. On Sunday, attendees at the 12th annual Cardinal O'Connor Conference on Life at Georgetown University had a chance to stop by the Priests for Life table to get information on our many ministries, including Rachel's Vineyard and the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. Meanwhile, in Bethesda, Md., another team networked with young people at the Students for Life Conference.

On Saturday night, Dr. Alveda King, director of African-American Outreach for Priests for Life, and Marie Smith, founder and director of the Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues, a ministry of Priests for Life-Gospel of Life, were awarded Life Prizes by the Gerald Health Foundation. Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, flew overnight to D.C. after taking part in the Walk for Life in San Francisco.
