All those years of guilt and shame were nailed to the cross and I know I can speak openly about my past and be at peace with my past because of what Christ did for me. I still feel sad at times, but this is normal when a parent loses a child. And that’s exactly what abortion is. The loss of a child.

Welcome to Silent No More Arizona! My name is Lori, and I am currently the Regional Coordinator for the state, although I live in Tucson. I had an abortion way back in 1984, and it took me 20 years to finally address the issues that this decision created in my life. It is my desire to see women and men healed from the effects of their abortions much sooner than I was, so that will be my first priority if you contact me--to get you connected to a healing program.

I am a counselor, having earned a dual Masters in Professional Counseling and Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, and I have worked at a local pregnancy medical center in Tucson since 2006. I've worn many hats over the years, but for the past several years, I have been the counselor on staff providing grief counseling for all types of pregnancy loss, abuse recovery counseling, perinatal hospice care and support and of course abortion aftercare counseling. I am also the Chapter Coordinator for the Southern AZ Chapter of Deeper Still Abortion Recovery Retreats.

It is my hope and prayer that as you find your healing through Christ, you will also "get your voice back" and be able to speak out on the truth about abortion, the humanity of the unborn and share your story with others. Personal stories do make a difference!! There are many opportunities through 40 Days for Life Campaigns, local March for Life events, and the AZ Rally for Life, among others, to be Silent No More in AZ. It is also my desire to create a safe community for those who have experienced abortion to interact with others in the same boat, so to speak. I know it can be difficult to find your voice even after going through a healing program and a safe community is a great way to get comfortable with sharing openly with others.
