Can't Forgive Myself

I’m from Guatemala. When I got pregnant, I was taking a medication that is totally prohibited during pregnancy because cause serious birth defects. I was afraid of having a baby with hydrocephaleus or microcephaleus, with heart defects, or retarded. I was afraid of having a child with those defects.

I feel badly about it, I really think that even when most women decided the same I did... (86%). I regret my abortion. I can’t find a way to forgive myself!

Since my abortion I haven’t been the same. I just think that I didn’t want my baby to suffer... but it wasn’t my decision…How could I be such a coward?
