Not In Vain

I had my abortion because I had no emotional support.
The abortion process was horrible, nobody spoke to me. They did my ultra sound for what seemed like forever but, I could not open my mouth to ask to see it due to fear. If I had seen it I would have jumped off table and ran out of clinic. I was traumatized in the clinic, after the procedure, and once I got home in a series of traumatic events.
I refused to speak about it, stuffed the pain down and moved on as a different person—the person who had the abortion died with the child. I had felt the child violently fight for its life in the womb, and these memories came back 18 years later in a form of flashbacks. I have been in therapy for this for past two years since memories returned. Jesus Christ has forgiven me, but it was I who needed to learn to forgive myself.
My child was real, my child was alive, and my child was put to a violent death. I refuse to let my child's death be in vain. I intend to speak out and help in all areas I can, to save other mothers from the trauma of abortion and save the defenseless child from being killed!
